As though I didn't have enough shit to do in the evenings, I've decided to try out one of these online multiplayer games. I've never put together a gaming PC, since consoles tend to be so much better for casual (non-obsessive, well socially adjusted) play, but since my boy will be using the xbox one, i figure I can run it on my i7 workstation type pc in my lab area. Although specs are decent, it lacked any real video solution, and instead used some intel integrated graphics thing. Obviously no bueno for a game, so I have a GeForce card coming tomorrow - probably three generations old by now, but fine for my needs and won't require a bigger power supply.
I'm so gonna get my ass kicked by dweebs and eight-year-olds for a few weeks, but I'm hoping I can be an effective teammate for my kids before too long.
Been a while since I've played anything that wasn't just an open world single player quest game (skyrim, fallout 4, and red dead redemption are the ones from the past decade, I think). Anyone here play Apex Legends. Apparently Fortnite just ripped off a bunch of their ideas, but because Epic owns Unreal Engine, they can crank shit out FAST, and Fortnite kind of got all the credit and reputation.
