Boris Johnson has announced the end of all Covid measures introduced to combat the Omicron variant – compulsory mask-wearing on public transport and in shops, guidance to work from home and vaccine certificates – from next week.

To cheers from some on the Conservative benches, Johnson announced an immediate end to the need for pupils to wear masks at secondary schools.
At this point, I feel like everyone has just about reached the no fucks left to give zone.
One of my at risk helpdesk tech got the booster sunday am, started feeling bad about 3am and just got back to able to get out of bed today. Negative flu, covid probably reaction to the booster according to her doc.
Two of the kids had the sniffles again this week. Turned out to be COVID. Will be interesting to see if I get this flavor too.

I assume that, with how transmissible this ermagherd variant is, that there's no way to avoid it. With getting it in September, and being immediately exposed this week, I'm assuming there's pretty much zero point to going and getting another shot.
I'd still get it
I'll probably see what travel looks like for meeting up with the parents to determine if and when I'd go for a booster.
With your shots and your natural immunity you should be invincible!!!!!
NEW YORK (AP) — A new study released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that people who were both vaccinated and had survived a prior bout of COVID-19 were best protected from infection.

The study, that examined infections in New York and California last year, found that unvaccinated people with a past infection were a close second. By fall, when the more contagious delta variant had taken over but boosters weren’t yet widespread, that group had a lower case rate than vaccinated people who had no past infection.

Wife and I tested positive for Coof tonight. Really mild cold-like symptoms. we went camping over the weekend and really were not around many people. Who knows. The worst is the post-nasal drippage I got going on.
Do those test even work?! Dude, my nose has been running like a faucet lately. We got scratchy throat and aches going around our house too. Got tests, but no need. I'm sure we got it. Natural immunity is BOSS!!
