Mission BBQ - Augie91 - 03-20-2022

Ate at a Mission BBQ on the way home from Midway last night.  They have great bbq and sides, a great atmosphere, and a positive message.  The place was packed.  We are excited that Mission BBQ will be opening in our area soon!  Anybody else like on this place?

Somebody's gotta cook the pigs ammirite? Mexas what are top BBQ places in either Galveston and/or Corpus Christi/Port Aransas area?! A Texas neighbor of mine said it's mostly beef BBQ, not many pigs, is that true?

Yep. Real BBQ is beef brisket. Any idiot can smoke a port shoulder it so forgiving a dolt like Brownie-cuck can do it.

Galveston? Stop by a Pappas when you pass by in Houston?

Port A? Dunno but I'll be there in late July and let you know.

BBQ brisket is good, but it's definitely better when someone takes the time to make burnt ends. Flavor-wise, I'd have a tough time choosing between BBQ brisket and real BBQ, which, yes, is more forgiving, but also generally more versatile.

Properly smoked brisket is divine. I have not mastered that yet. I get a point and make burnt ends. Yeah, not quite the same thing but it's good. When we visit the son and family in Dallas they seemed to have branched out a bit from straight beef. KC - you can find a lot of smoked tasty animal parts. I do love my trimmed spare ribs. A few places around here smoke the yardbirds to hold, but then they hit the deep fryer to reheat. You have to have had it to appreciate.

No, pork is great! But  Brownie is definitely subject to some negative comments once his crazy posts are exposed..

Brisket needs nothing but a salt/pepper rub smoke and love. Wrap in foil at the stall no shame in that.

Cinna is still a cuck tho.

Foil wrap? Why don't you just microwave it?

Tongue

Just kidding. I agree with you. I tend to wrap them at 165 and splash a beer in there for the last 30 degrees.
