Asking for some old fashioned vibes/prayers - TxBrewer - 05-16-2022
So my daughter left today for a two week trip to Peru to work in some Veterinary clinics and do some sightseeing, it is part of an organized trip the colleges put together. One of her friends did this trip last year and said she never felt uncomfortable or unsafe but all the same I could use some Vibes/Prayers for her safe travel.

Prayers for your daughter!! What a great experience! What is she interested in doing after graduation?! Our oldest goes to college this fall. I hope she has some travel/study opportunities!!

She applied to four different vet schools before she left. Graduates in December with Bachelors and with any luck around January she will get word of acceptances.
She is planning on working full time at teh vet clinic near campus the semester between but I suggested she substitute teach at the local HS, work three weeks then take the fourth week off and travel with teh money she made. Hit Alaska, Montana or wherever.

Iowa State has a GREAT vet school, but that's a little far away! She should DEFINITELY reward/spoil herself a little for all the hard work!!!! Lots of hard work ahead too! What a great career path.

For now she is sticking to Texas A&M, Tech and LSU.

It is a parent's job to worry. I'm sure she'll be fine. Peru is one of the few countries in SA, I'd actually consider visiting.

Trust me we are worrying. She got there safe this morning after 18 hours of flights/layovers. The rest of the group is coming from Perdu University through Chicago or NY and both got delayed for up to 12 hours so she is at the house solo right now. Said the host family is very nice.
