RE: Brewing tomorrow - bdutton - 07-24-2023 I brewed an ipa yesterday (10 gal) with 16lbs dme, 2lbs steeped 10l crystal and hop schedule of 8oz Simcoe @60, 1.3oz Citra @30,20 and 10min. Finished with 1oz cascade at flame out. 1056 ale liquid yeast. Plan to add some mango extract to the fermenter next week and keg it in 3 weeks. Next week I'll do my usual arrogant bastard clone on top of the primary fermentation remains of the ipa. But the majority of my hops now are at WP and DH. It's currently fermenting at 97° and the gravity dropped from 1.070 to 1.032 overnight. I will lower my magnetized dry hop bag after fermentation is completed and it's chilled down a bit. Stronger than most English Ales but I require +6.5% for all of my brews. |
