Wix filters at car quest. No. - Buzzie mcnugget - 04-14-2021 I call my local auto parts store, car quest. You got wix filters in stock for a c6? Sure. Roll in to town, here ya go, plops a car quest filter down. $3.50! Um, that's not wix. Yeah made by same folks. Hummel and Mann. Research says that may have been true a few years back. I took it because it was so cheap I will just keep it for a spare. Ordered a proper wix xp filter. Stunning difference, the wix is probably 2x as heavy. I now have to find another local parts store, again. Grrrr RE: Wix filters at car quest. RE: Wix filters at car quest. No. - Buzzie mcnugget - 04-14-2021 Mobile1 oil yes. Filters are not as good as wix. RE: Wix filters at car quest. No. - Trub Lou - 04-14-2021 I'm sure there's a fair amount of brand loyalty and homerism involved, but most of what I find claims mobil 1 make a better filter, though the wix is a bit cheaper for the cost conscious. The reality is probably that they both work great, well better than whatever the "carquest" Great Value brand is. Lol. RE: Wix filters at car quest.
