PSA - dj in kc - 03-12-2022 Set you clocks ahead one hour tonight. Starting to drink an hour earlier than usual today will help with the time change adjustment. RE: PSA - Mexas Joe - 03-12-2022 Why yes on the drinking. Can we all agree that Daylight Savings Time is the product of a bygone age and can we simply stop this practice? RE: PSA - Trub Lou - 03-13-2022 Oh man. I may have started way too early. Caught up with some friends who we have only seen once since 2019. They aren't the "scared of every sneeze" types you see in a lot of places, but the pandemic definitely shut them down psychologically. It was good to get together, but I'm finding that lagavulin and heradura are a dangerous combination. What clock? Lol I think I might still be drunk, but I expect this to get painful in a few hours. RE: PSA - Mexas Joe - 03-13-2022 Just power through with a bloody mary or mimosa. Saul good man. RE: PSA - Vagus - 03-13-2022 The clock doesn't control my drinking. Unless it gives me a reason to drink. Message received. It's alcohol time. RE: PSA - garyNconcord - 03-17-2022 Senate voted to stay on DST full time. Take effect "23. Be nice if the House would follow through on it. RE: PSA - Augie91 - 03-17-2022 If the farmers don't care, I don't care. RE: PSA - Mexas Joe - 03-17-2022 Why not scrap DST and just go Standard tho? However, I'll settle for either one if it means we quit fecking with the clocks and people's schedules twice a year. Fun fact, I read some years ago where there was a study done on peoples habits with DST. Seems that since people in southwestern states were coming home from work an hour earlier in terms of the sun's day, they were cranking down the AC to a lower setting in the hottest part of the day, resulting in an overall increase in power consuption. The damn time change was doing the opposite of what was intended. |
