One of our long time local butcher shop/grocers sold out to Fareway. Maybe you Iowa guys know about them. Bought a pound of brats made with corned beef and cheese today - on the grill now. I have high hopes

Fareway is a solid store. They got lots of good brats. I've had those Reuben brats and they are good. Fareway meat is really solid, they got a good liquor selection, decent produce, prices are not like Aldi or Wally World, but they are not outrageous like the Hyvee around here. They are closed on Sundays and everybody that works at them seems to enjoy their job and works there a long time. Let us know how you like them!! We have 3 or 4 of their stores in our area.

I like Fareway, generally. Quick to get in and out for the basics. Meat is generally better than HyVee.

Those were OK at best. It's nice they have pork bellies on sale a few times a year.
