Storms just destroyed this area today.  No power, but only minimal damage at my place.  People further south are in far worse shape. My buddy lost his fence, and we have friends without siding, roofs, and barns.

Yep. Down in town is a mess.

I just got our well pump going.

Two extension cords hacked off and spliced into a single piece of Romex is a cool way to get 220v power, right?

QC is a war zone. Some without power for several days. We had a big Maple branch come down. Tree will hopefully survive though. House is okay. Back is hurting today from all the chainsaw work. Lots of folks lost a bunch of meat in their freezers. Never witnessed such a powerful storm here in Iowa!!

Power came back this morning. Good thing too - my phone ran out of data overnight thanks to the boy's iPad doing a major iOS update while tethered. Thanks apple.
