My house has been Sportsball Free for over two years. My Sundays are no longer sitting at a bar cheering on people that hate me while dropping a hundo on swill.
My greatest thanks to Colin and The Kneelers for giving me back my freedom and free time. It's liberating. And I know many that have done the same. It's gotta hurt the bottom line of the mega corps, teams, players and owners. Feck 'em.
I've even given up college ball on Saturdays which was not as hard as I imagined. And MLB.
None of them get a Dime from Yer Old Pal Mexas.

For me, the kneeling turned me off on the NFL and I'm only about watching playoffs now. As a bigger basketball fan, the protests showed up on the courts having painted messages on them and the jerseys having phrases on the back. Personally, I wish they would just play the game and talk about supporting causes outside that time. I understand they want to try to be part of change. Not sure what best way is to accomplish that...

I'm a fan even though my team doesn't know how to play football anymore.

I've never been a huge sportsball person. Mostly keep it on as background noise as Sunday tradition. But I'll admit that since it took a political turn, I'm even less likely to even think about turning it on for that.

I didn't watch one game start to finish this year. In prior years, i was usually glued to the TV on Sundays and had listened to NFL radio when in my car or riding my bike on a daily basis. No more. The NFL chose sides and it wasn't my side.

Of course I've been watching the Chiefs. Whatever protest stuff is going on with the NFL I've missed it except for a few helmets with statements on the back. College football - never really been interested. College B-Ball not very interested lately. I assume pro B-Ball is still whatever. MLB - We'll tune it in on the radio when we're in the pool. TV - nope. Although I try to mix some G&Ts the day spring training starts - because. Hockey - they don't have a fucking ball so there's that. I have golf on several times a week - nice for couch naps. Although there are a few tournaments that keep me interested.

I do like watching golf, and it is probably my second favorite sport behind bball to watch. I enjoy playing golf, watching the pro players hit the ball always freaks me out. I hit a 9 iron 120ish, Koepka hits his 170 yards. Crazy. I occasionally watch Nascar, but it just does not appeal to me as much now that I don't live in the south.
