Masters 2021
#1
I freaking LOVE watching this tournament moreso than any golf event.  Augusta is absolutely one of the prettiest places on Earth!  Golf aside, I just like checking out the course on tv.  It's on my bucket list to go to Masters and watch in person.  Hopefully in next few years!  Anybody else enjoy the Masters???

I find it soothing to have golf on in the background at times. I wouldn't say I get in to particular events, though. I definitely prefer it to most other types of sportsball.

Just the way the announcers whisper is soothing to the soul. It's like having elevator music playing in your house Smile

I went to the Saturday and Sunday rounds in 1999 ( Jose Maria Olazabal) and 2000 ( Vijay Singh)..and it was amazing! The course, the rough, and even the ditch behind the latrine were perfectly manicured...
When a group passes they open the fairway ropes for patrons to cross and I looked at the grass while crossing  - I never saw a single weed or blemish anywhere.
I stood next to Tiger's dad as he made an amazing putt for eagle on 7 ( I think ) and he smiled and clapped me on the back.

Had a few...seemed like they were a dollar apiece. The Masters keeps concessions very low which was nice. I've never been a pimento cheese person but they hit the spot... much better than the ham sammy too.

I once went to a charity golf event as a spectator. Greg Norman was the headliner. It was the course where I caddied at the time, so it was kind of cool to see the choices made by a pro on a course that I knew really really well.

Looks like my $20 Draftkings bet was a bust. I'm in the middle of the pack and not even close to the money.

Out of all of  the events I've been to in my life, the Master Tournament is by far the best produced..
They control everything themselves and do it right.
No corporate entities at all... no signs or billboards or advertising, nothing obnoxious allowed, concessions are basic but excellent, cheap, and fast. If you are twentieth in line you are out in four minutes... maybe less.
Even the patrons do it right on their end - no blue jeans or ragged dress, no fights or loud people.. the expense of each daily badge may be the reason there. I went about twenty years ago and each day had people offering me $1200 for my daily badge on the way to the gate. Who knows what they go for now.
