Pizza Nirvana

My wife and I just did a New England Foodie Tour. We finished yesterday by hitting two of the most famous pizza joints in the world - Frank Pepe's and Sally's Apizza in New Haven.  Awesome pizza.

Those look SO killer. Where the the best pizza you ever had? I bet your homemade pizzas, with a homemade brew, would be better!! Those wood fired? What else did you all get into on your journey thru pizza paradise?

Both were fantastic. My 2 favorite places in the Philly area are comparable, though. Definitely in my top 5. When we were in Sally's, I noticed an old dude walking around the restaurant. He stopped me outside and asked how we liked the pizza (apizza). He saw us taking a selfie by the sign and offered to take the picture. Turns out he was the owner! Nice, friendly guy.

We also had Lobster rolls at Red's Eats in Maine, clam bellies in Rhode Island, steamed cheeseburgers in Connecticut, and Monkfish Marsala in the North End of Boston that was insanely good.

Lobsta rolls! Now that's my jam! I love seafood, next to good bbq it is prolly my favorite food. Pizza is in top 5, but as you all know we est "odd" pizzas. Last night we had a Cuban pizza.
