Bought my first rifle that isn't 75 years old
#1
All of my rifles (about 25 or so) are milsurps dated from 1956 or earlier.  Today I ordered a Ruger Precision Rifle in .22lr.  At $499 it seems a reasonable price.  Should be fun.

Nice gun and price. Share your groups when you get sighted in.

Absolutely. Also ordered a scope and I'm about to order a few more mags.

Damn, still waiting to take delivery. My mags, scope, and rings are already here. On the bright side, I was refunded $59 to reflect this week's sale price.

Finally got it out. Got it zeroed in at 50 yards right away. I do need to work on my 100 yards range, though.

At 50, it seemed to prefer my cheapest ammo - Eley Sport.

Nice group.. ..22lr is a fun round for range and plinking.
I haven't been to the range in forever, I need to take my safe queens out for a workout - especially my Rock Island .45ACP Commander. When I got it it occasionally wouldn't go back to battery after firing a few rounds but I may just need to run a few hundred rounds through it.

Nice group. I used to shoot eley sport all the time back when you could buy a case of 5k rounds of it for $125. I believe it was actually loaded by Agilla using the Eley primed brass.

Now I shoot Eley Match for about $$1800 a case.

Yeah, the Eley Sport is from about 12 years ago. It was my practice ammo when I shot in the bullseye league. I still have 4-5 bricks left over.
