Weekend at the beach
#1
Ran down to the coast to fish with  my brother and his family, camping on the beach is always a beating but I have my family trip next month and wanted to do some more "recon" fishing and seeing what we can put on the sand.

Started strong with a 66 inch black tip shark, biggest I have ever caught.

My nephew caught the biggest red drum he has ever caught at 41 inches

I landed another solid red drum at 40 inches

overall we landed five sharks all between 5-6 feet and five bull reds between 39-42 inches.   We also had two runs that quickly snapped the lines probably with tail whips, considering we were using six foot leaders they were bigger sharks.

Next trip is in July with the family and I am going to fly out some 10 or 12 ft leaders to see if I can hook into one of the bigger ones.

Nice.

That's not Galveston judging by the water. You went south for that. Port A?
